Today I very often find state legislators who also limit their scope of concerns and are identified with a few firmly held positions on some controversial topics.
    Our state is now in an economic transition from the dominance of traditional extractive industries into an era involving technically sophisticated and value-added enterprises. One of our big advantages is the attraction we have to high-tech companies for recruiting young highly educated individuals because of our livable habitat, scenery and recreational opportunities.
    J. P. Pomnichowski is a legislator who does approach the task needed for this progress in a thoughtful deliberate fashion. She understands our natural advantages as well as the stewardship required for maintenance of these precious resources. Her proposals do not originate from conventional wisdom arising from common anecdotal and unexamined “truths.” She learns from reputable sources who have studied the issue in question before taking a position.
    Unlike the legislator my father told me about, J.P. appears to be one who is only concerned with the general welfare. She is not a partisan ideologue.
    J.P. proved herself in her first term. She was one of the most productive house members. She will only get better. Let’s make certain she goes back to Helena. We need her and more like her.
